Instructions

  • Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon, until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat if needed and set the beef aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil and minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add the broccoli florets to the skillet and stir-fry for 4-5 minutes, or until they are tender but still slightly crisp.
  • In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, and water until smooth.
  • Return the cooked ground beef to the skillet with the broccoli. Pour the sauce mixture over the beef and broccoli, and stir well to coat everything evenly.
  • Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens and the ingredients are fully coated.
  • Season with ground black pepper to taste. Optionally, sprinkle sesame seeds on top for garnish.
  • Serve hot as-is or over steamed rice for a complete meal.

Notes

For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes or sriracha to the sauce mixture.
