Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon, until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat if needed and set the beef aside.
Add the broccoli florets to the skillet and stir-fry for 4-5 minutes, or until they are tender but still slightly crisp.
In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, and water until smooth.
Return the cooked ground beef to the skillet with the broccoli. Pour the sauce mixture over the beef and broccoli, and stir well to coat everything evenly.
Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens and the ingredients are fully coated.
Season with ground black pepper to taste. Optionally, sprinkle sesame seeds on top for garnish.
Serve hot as-is or over steamed rice for a complete meal.
Notes
For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes or sriracha to the sauce mixture.
