  • In a medium-sized bowl or jar, combine the balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, and honey (if using).
  • Whisk or stir vigorously until the mustard and honey are fully incorporated into the vinegar.
  • Slowly drizzle the olive oil while whisking continuously to create an emulsified mixture.
  • Add the minced garlic, salt, and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  • Taste the vinaigrette and adjust salt, pepper, or honey as needed.
  • If using a jar, secure the lid and shake well to combine. Serve immediately or refrigerate for later use.

Notes

For a tangier flavor, increase the balsamic vinegar slightly. Store in the refrigerator for up to one week.
