Instructions

  • Preheat a griddle or non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the pancake mix, water, and maple syrup until smooth. This will create the signature sweet and fluffy McGriddle base.
  • Lightly grease the griddle or skillet with butter or oil.
  • Pour the pancake batter onto the griddle in two small rounds, about 4 inches in diameter each. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook the other side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, cook the sausage patties over medium heat until browned and fully cooked, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  • Crack the eggs into the skillet and cook them to your preference (scrambled or sunny-side-up). If desired, break the yolks gently for a more uniform texture. Remove and set aside.
  • Assemble the McGriddle by layering: one pancake, a slice of American cheese, a sausage patty, the cooked egg, and the second pancake on top.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Feel free to substitute the sausage patties with bacon or a vegetarian alternative. Add extra maple syrup for a sweeter flavor.
