Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a muffin tin with non-stick cooking spray or butter.
Cut or tear the halal sandwich bread into small pieces and set aside.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
Add the bread pieces to the egg mixture, gently folding them in to soak up the liquid. Let the mixture sit for 2-3 minutes to ensure the bread absorbs the flavors.
Spoon the soaked bread mixture evenly into the greased muffin tin compartments, filling each about three-quarters full.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the French toast cups are golden brown and puffed up.
Remove from the oven and let the cups cool for 5 minutes before carefully removing them from the muffin tin.
Serve warm with your choice of toppings, such as maple syrup, powdered sugar, fresh berries, or honey.
Notes
You can use any type of bread for this recipe, but softer sandwich bread works best. Feel free to customize the toppings to suit your taste.
