Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Roll out the sugar cookie dough on a lightly floured surface and shape it into a large rectangle (about 12x18 inches) for the cookie pizza.
  • Transfer the rolled-out dough to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Remove the cookie crust from the oven and allow it to cool completely on a wire rack.
  • In a medium bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled cookie crust.
  • Arrange the sliced strawberries in the top left corner to create the blue field of the flag, then place blueberries on top of the strawberries to represent the stars.
  • Use banana slices to create alternating rows of white and red stripes, followed by raspberries and blackberries to fill in the remaining sections of the flag.
  • Drizzle a little lemon juice over the fruit to prevent browning and add a hint of freshness.
  • Slice into squares or wedges and serve chilled for a festive 4th of July treat.

Notes

For added flavor, consider using a flavored cream cheese or adding a sprinkle of cinnamon to the cookie dough.
